It is true that succulent plants require sunlight in order to thrive. You should make sure that your desert succulents aren't left in moist soil for any extended period of time. This plant will not do very well in the shade for prolonged periods of time. They had all survived winter frost and looked great when I checked them again. You can increase the amount of time they spend in the lights if they are doing well. Tube lights are best for covering more plants than one at a time. Your baby succulents should be able to grow within a few months to a year.
