Make sure to use well-draining dirt for your new succulent. Powdery mildew, fungus, and root rot may occur if your plant has been overwatered or planted in a pot without drainage holes or in soil that is too dense. You can still plant the cutting if you don't allow it to develop callus. It is critical to sterilize lest you infect the plant and the cutting with diseases or get harmful substances into them. Root rot, which is most commonly caused by excessive watering, and root rot are the primary diseases. Root rot can be prevented by adding gravel layers to the potting mix.
